when it ships.

I'm Szymon — a Lead Product Owner working where product, engineering and infrastructure meet.

Today I lead the data domain of a private, sovereign cloud platform for Europe's power grid. Before that, I built platforms for banks, marketplaces and telecoms — always with the same question: how do we make the hard thing feel inevitable?

My approach is practical and systems-minded. Find the real constraint. Make the tradeoff explicit. Give great teams the context and autonomy to do their best work.

A long way
to the platform.

Every role added a new layer: from understanding the signal, to shaping the system, to helping teams build what matters.

Sovereign cloud / data domain

Leading the data domain of the Elia Digital Platform: a cloud-native internal developer platform running on private sovereign cloud for Europe's power grid.

  • Guiding 3 product owners and ~18 engineers
  • Managed databases, Kafka streaming, Spark and Jupyter as self-service products
  • Defining service boundaries and roadmap across the data portfolio

Data analytics platform

Shaping a single entry point for resource and access management used by several hundred data users across the bank.

  • Led three teams across access, catalog and ingestion
  • Connected identity and access across Azure and GCP
  • Delivered self-service workflows for analysts, engineers and data scientists

Internal developer platform

Owned the roadmap for a cloud-native PaaS on Kubernetes, hosting new software for roughly 200 engineers.

  • Led a team of 6 DevOps engineers
  • Shipped self-service CI/CD, GitOps, databases and message brokers
  • Owned 100+ services across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments

Telecom systems / insurance software

A decade of turning complex technical systems into focused, shippable products and resilient ways of working.

  • Backlog and feature ownership for 3 development teams at Nokia
  • Requirements, solution design and client support at Efinity
  • Agile process, product quality and team operating model leadership

The technical foundation

Started close to the network layer: radio protocols, LTE, field deployments and quality testing across Europe.

  • Worked on 5G Mobility, 5G RAN Interworking and VoLTE
  • Installed and commissioned LTE, UMTS and GSM equipment
  • Tested radio protocols in real network environments across Europe
